David is an Honorably Discharged Veteran of a Foreign War, having served in the United States Air Force from 1992-1996, where he first saw how substance use and abuse carries the potential to negatively affect combat readiness of military personnel. David has represented The Council of Southeast PA, Inc. for the past 15 years working as a Certified Prevention Specialist and a Nationally Certified Tobacco Treatment Specialist, providing counseling & intervention programs for students, tobacco dependence treatment programs for adults, and prevention education for schools, communities and public health providers. David has worked as a commissioned FDA officer overseeing licensing inspections, “undercover buys”, preventing access of tobacco products to those under 21. David greatly enjoys the variety of opportunities that the field of prevention offers while working towards the strategic goal of improving public health!

In his free time, David is an avid baseball dad. David and his wife, Tina, can be found on most weekends in the stands at his son’s baseball tournaments. David is also a lifelong Yankees fan growing up in NE Jersey across the bridge from Yankees stadium. Sorry, Phillies….
