The Prevention Learning Portal (PLP) is a free, online educational platform designed to support professionals, educators, and community leaders in implementing evidence-based prevention strategies. It focuses on enhancing skills and knowledge in areas such as youth development, risk reduction, and community resilience. Its vision is to promote the adoption of prevention science frameworks and implementation science principles, particularly within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

PLP aims to expand prevention practices across Pennsylvania by providing accessible resources and asynchronous, free courses tailored to different experience levels—from beginners to advanced practitioners. Topics include: Adapting Evidence-Based Programs, Social and Emotional Learning (SEL), Youth Engagement, Project Management, Using Logic Models. Many courses offer continuing education credits, such as Act 48 and Social Work CEUs, for Pennsylvania professionals. The PLP eLibrary provides a curated collection of prevention resources, including toolkits, infographics, videos, and guides. Topics cover mental health, substance use, community data, and more.
